All CleanTube data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage API:

• Blocked Users: List of usernames you've blocked
• Blocked Channels: List of channel names you've blocked
• Blocked Keywords: Keywords you've added to filter

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Permissions

CleanTube requires certain permissions to function:

• Storage: To save your block lists locally
• Context Menus: To add right-click blocking options
• Active Tab: To interact with YouTube pages
• Notifications: To confirm blocking actions
• Host Permission (YouTube): To run on YouTube pages only

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and not for data collection.

Third-Party Services

CleanTube does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The extension operates entirely offline once installed.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data because we don't collect any data. Your blocked lists are yours alone.

Updates and Changes

The extension may receive updates through the Chrome Web Store to:

• Fix bugs and improve performance
• Adapt to YouTube interface changes
• Add new features based on user feedback

Updates do not enable data collection or change our privacy practices.

Data Export and Deletion

You can:

• View all data: Click the extension icon to see all blocked items
• Delete specific items: Use the unblock buttons in the popup
• Delete all data: Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data

Children's Privacy

CleanTube does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The extension is a privacy-preserving tool suitable for all ages.

Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Keeping your browser updated
• Using device-level security (passwords, encryption)
• Being cautious about who has access to your device
